Growing up in Western Colorado, Taylor learned carpentry skills from his father at an early age and found enjoyment in expressing his creativity in a hands-on setting. After moving to Wichita, Kansas in 2009, he quickly discovered his love for local, hardwood trees, native to the Midwest. There, he worked for a nearby sawmill and wood shop where he first developed the skills of milling and working with hardwoods to create beautiful and functional pieces of furniture. Over the years, he has also worked in various facets of the building industry, including rough and finish carpentry, timber framing and remodeling. In addition to woodworking, Taylor is an avid outdoorsman who also enjoys leatherwork, and being outside with his wife and three children.
Taylor and his family now reside in Paonia, Colorado where he works on projects ranging from timber frame structures to custom woodwork and one-of-a-kind, timeless furniture. His passion for creating heirloom-quality products for his patrons is seen in the initial design to the selection of lumber to cutting and fitting each joint to the final hand-rubbed finish; Taylor meticulously and carefully makes each piece by hand to suit your needs and desires. It is Taylor's ambition and conviction that each piece he creates will serve and be enjoyed by you and your family for generations to come.
