Granberry Vanities

Cabinets are constructed using pegged mortise and tenon joinery with floating panels and sliding dovetail rails. Drawer boxes feature hand-cut through dovetails with solid oak drawer bottoms.

Crane Cabinets

 

Native Kansas Black Walnut and White Oak

Built in collaboration with Jack Baumgartner. Overall design and crane and bamboo relief carvings by Jack Baumgartner.

Exterior surfaces of the cabinets were ebonized to give a dark contrast to the lighter natural color of the walnut that are revealed in the relief carvings. Interior skeleton held together using dovetail and mortise and tenon joinery. Exterior plywood panels made of 1/8" thick shop-sawn walnut veneer.

Measuring nine feet long and 40 inches tall, the Lohr Credenza is made of solid quarter sawn bur oak with black walnut inlay on the cabinet doors. Made to store vinyl records, the credenza is constructed with through mortise and tenon joinery throughout.

Koepsel Entertainment Center

The Koepsel Entertainment Center is constructed from solid white ash and features hand cut dovetails for the main carcass joinery as well as housed dados for the fixed shelves. The side cabinets feature wood on wood sliding shelves, all of solid ash.
